FAQ
Our company relies upon our Research and Development Department as well as our advertising agencies to evaluate and develop new products, product improvements, advertising and promotional campaigns on a continual basis.
We also receive many unsolicited ideas from outside the Company. Because we wish to prevent any possible misunderstanding regarding unsolicited suggestions from individuals outside the Company, we have adopted a policy of reviewing only United States issued patents or official patent publications. In addition, these patented ideas must fall within areas of strategic interests to our company. We cannot accept for review unpatented ideas, advertising slogans, or promotional programs, unpublished patent applications, prototypes or models. This policy serves to protect you and your idea.
If you have a United States issued patent or official patent publication and wish to have us review it, you must sign (and date) and return to us an Agreement for Submission of Patent. A copy of this form can be obtained from our Consumer Information Center who can be reached toll free at 1-866-565-2229 from 8-8 EST, Monday through Friday. When you return the signed and dated Agreement for Submission of Patent form, you must also enclose a copy of your patent or patent publication. We will review these materials and advise you if there is any interest.
If we are interested in your patent, we will contact you within two months of the date we receive both your signed Agreement and patent or patent publication. Remember that we will not review any patent or patent publication that we receive without an accompanying disclosure agreement.
